You can read some of my published work here. I've had some good fortune as a writer:
- In 2016, my essay "On the Death of a Difficult Parent" received a Special Mention in the Pushcart Prize Best of the Small Presses.
- My Russian to English translations received a Special Commendation in the Joseph Brodsky / Stephen Spender Prize.
- The Regional Arts and Culture Council has supported my work with professional and project grants.
- Hypatia-in-the-Woods and Mauser EcoHouse in Costa Rica have granted me artistic residencies to complete projects.

Most recently, I taught multilingual middle-schoolers English literacy and academic language in a public school (2017-2022). Before then, I taught writing to diverse adults through Portland Parks and Recreation, The Attic Institute, The ALS Association, and Mountain Writers.
I coach writers to offer feedback and developmental editing on projects from poems to manuscripts. Contact me to talk.
I live in Portland with my husband, four guinea pigs, an insecurely attached dog, and perhaps the largest housecat that you've ever seen.
